Josep-Maria Arauzo-Carod is Professor of Economics at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Chair of the Research Center on Economics and Sustainability (ECO-SOS), and vice-chair of the research institute IU-RESCAT. He has a PhD in Economics (URV). His thesis analyzed location decisions of manufacturing firms in Catalan municipalities and has published more than 80 articles, books, and chapters about industrial location, cultural and creative industries, and spatial economic issues. He is Chair of the International Network of Economic Research - INFER, member of the Board of the Council of the Catalan Competition Commission - ACCO, member of the Research Council of Le Studium (France) and the MSH Val de Loire (France) and fellow of the Institut d'Economia de Barcelona - IEB.
